Rodney Perry is a veteran comedian, actor, writer, and producer whose dynamic stage presence and authentic storytelling have made him a beloved figure in entertainment. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Rodney’s comedic roots trace back to his childhood, where he developed his sharp wit and love for making people laugh. His journey into comedy began in earnest during his service in the United States Navy, where he honed his craft performing for his fellow sailors. This foundation led him to pursue his passion full-time, eventually moving to Los Angeles to chase his dreams.

Rodney gained national prominence as the co-host of BET’s The Mo'Nique Show, where his humor and relatable personality made him a standout. A prolific performer, he has graced the stage on Def Comedy Jam, Comic View, Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-Up, and countless other platforms, becoming a household name in the comedy circuit. In addition to his stand-up success, Rodney has showcased his acting talent in numerous films, including Tyler Perry’s Madea's Big Happy Family, Johnson Family Vacation, Who’s Watching the Kids, The Last Laugh, and Christmas in Compton. On television, he has appeared on shows such as The Rickey Smiley Show, Bounce TV's Off the Chain, and even lent his comedic flair to improv-based performances on Whose Got Jokes?. He is also the host and creator of the popular podcast That Comedy Show.
